The open house marks the official opening of a state-of-the-art facility that features interactive displays, exhibits and demonstration projects. Visitors will leave with an understanding and appreciation of water management in the Chihuahuan Desert. Refreshments will be served.

El Paso Water Utilities will also announce the winners of the annual Drinking Water Week poster contest. Students from kindergarten through 12th grade illustrated the theme “Desalination – Quenching Thirst in the Chihuahuan Desert.” Winners will receive gifts cards worth $100, $50 and $25 as first-, second- and third-place prizes.
During the open house, activities will be scheduled throughout the facility that includes an auditorium, classrooms, and exhibit hall. There will be games and presentations in the outdoor amphitheater and courtyard.
