Richard O. Martinez - Secretary Treasurer

Richard O. Martinez has held a number of engineering positions at the White Sands Missile Range for the Materiel Test Directorate (MTD). Currently Chief of the Tactical Missiles Branch, his previous positions include Supervisor of the Climatic Environments Branch and MTD Project Engineer for the Theater Missile Defense targets of Hera and Storm.

Mr. Martinez has worked at Fort Bliss as a Systems Engineer for the Army Development and Acquisition of Threat Simulators. He was also attached to a developmental assignment as Acting Assistant Director for the Ballistic Missile Defense Organization Test and Evaluation Directorate in the Pentagon in Washington, D.C.

Mr. Martinez's community activities include service on the University of Texas at El Paso (UTEP) Mechanical Engineering Advisory Committee and School of Engineering Advisory Group. He is active in the El Paso and White Sands chapters of the Society of Mexican American Engineers and Scientists, of which previously served as national president and has served as national board member for many years. He is a member of the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors and has served on the Boards of the UTEP Miner Foundation and the Hispanic Leadership Institute.

Mr. Martinez is a graduate of the University of Texas at El Paso where he received a BS degree in mechanical engineering.
