Maria F. Teran

Maria F. Teran is president and general manager of Sierra Machinery, Inc., which she co-founded in 1981. She is a member of the City of El Paso’s Metropolitan Planning Organization, the National Association of General Contractors and the American Heritage Rivers Advisory Committee, to which she was appointed by President Bill Clinton in 1998.

Ms. Teran chairs the Transportation Committee of the El Paso Leader and Research Council and is co-chair of the local chapter of the Association of General Contractors. She is a member of the Executive Committee of the Texas Good Roads/Transportation Association and serves on the Board of the Bank of the West.

In addition to her civic involvement, Teran is a member of numerous professional organizations and the recipient of many awards, including the Paso del Norte Award for Extraordinary and Exemplary Leadership.
