UTEP Civil Engineering students visited the site of El Paso Water Utilities' Well No. 404B in the Lower Valley. While there, students got a first-hand look at well-drilling equipment and reverse osmosis water filtration technology. They also asked questions of EPWU engineers and well-drilling experts. The well is one of several being drilled by the utility to ensure fresh, clean drinking water even as the region's drought is expected to persist well into 2012.
