This is ninth consecutive year the utility has received the award. The association rated the budget as a policy document, financial plan, operations guide and communications device. It was rated “proficient” in each category. The association also recognized El Paso Water Utilities’ chief financial officer, Marcela Navarrete, for her efforts in preparing the budget. Navarrete received the association’s Certificate of Recognition for Budget Preparation.
