Hundreds of local families are expected to celebrate Global Youth Service Day at EPWU’s Recycle2Go@TecH2O on Saturday, April 25.  It’s a recycling fair, and the first of its kind.

“We want to help educate the community about recycling efforts. To help them better understand how it all is connected to protecting our natural resources, including water,” said Water Conservation Specialist, Diane Perez.

Watch children and their parents become earth warriors by learning clever ways to reuse natural resources. Featured demonstrations and exhibits will teach visitors about recycling and turning trash into treasures.

At 1 p.m., El Paso Community College students will model fashions and accessories made from used materials in a fashion show.

The e-waste collection will give people no excuses to do that spring cleaning. Discovery Recycling and TCEQ will be on site with over 20 volunteers ready to help you recycle any surplus, obsolete and broken electronic devices, including televisions, cell phones, video game cartridges and consoles, personal and laptop computers, and small personal music devices.
