Santa Fe, NM - El Paso Water Utilities President and CEO Ed Archuleta will be a featured speaker at the 17th annual New Mexico Water Law Conference August 6th in Santa Fe, New Mexico. Archuleta will be joined by experts in the engineering, legal, and environmental fields at the conference sponsored by the Water Law Institute.
Archuleta was invited to speak at the conference based on the Utility’s expertise in desalination issues. The Kay Bailey Hutchison Desalination Plant is the largest of its kind in the world. Many cities across the nation, including several in New Mexico, are looking to tap into brackish groundwater and plan to use the El Paso facility as a model. Archuleta’s presentation will also focus on the Utility’s water resources planning strategy that provides an ample water supply for El Pasoans for the next 50 years.
