EPWU RESTORES WATER SERVICE TO MONTANA VISTA CUSTOMERS News Release Contact: Christina Montoya, Vice President-Marketing and Communication 915-594-5596 (office), e-mail: cmontoya@epwu.org Date: July 1, 2011 MONTANA VISTA – El Paso Water Utilities crews restored water service to 3,200 customers in Montana Vista by 9:30 a.m. Friday. An 18-inch pipe serving an area near the intersection of Montana Avenue and Krag broke at about 7:30 p.m. Thursday. EPWU crews worked through the night to restore service. As part of its commitment to providing drinking water of the highest quality to its customers, El Paso Water Utilities always tests water quality before service is fully restored following a major interruption in service. The results of tests taken this morning show water in the Montana Vista area is safe to drink. The cause of the break is still under investigation.
