EL PASO - El Paso Water Utilities continues to receive inquiries about companies offering programs that cover the cost of emergency repairs to water and sewer service lines. EPWU is not affiliated with these companies and does not endorse the companies or their programs. Furthermore, EPWU does not require customers to obtain pipeline protection coverage.

Customers who are considering purchasing pipeline protection coverage from private companies are advised to read the information carefully before making a decision.

the Painted Dunes neighborhoods will be walkable and pedestrian friendly, but feature primarily apartments and single-family homes. Approximately 40 percent of the 3,500 to 4,000 units will be rental units to accommodate Fort Bliss families.

The land will be developed in three phases, beginning with the area closest to the Patriot Freeway, and incorporate SmartCode density and design concepts. Construction is expected to be completed in 10-20 years.

The public is encouraged to ask questions and give input at the meeting. Master plans for both communities are scheduled to be presented for City Council approval in March 2012.
