El Paso - El Pasoans of all ages are working together to conserve water as the region's years-long drought continues, even despite recent rainfall.

To help ensure that our youngest water users don't become water wasters, El Paso Water Utilities will host a free, interactive workshop Saturday, July 21, at 10:30 a.m. at the TecH2O Water Resources Learning Center, 10751 Montana Ave.

Parents, kids, aunts and uncles who attend the "Kids Can Conserve" workshop will get to hold a cloud in the palm of their hand, drill a mini-well into a mini-aquifer and learn how plants and animals adapt to dry conditions in the Chihuahuan Desert.

For more information, contact the TecH2O Center at (915) 621-2000.

Updates on drought conditions, the need to conserve water and ways we can all reduce our water use can be found at LessIsMoreEP.org.
