Ramirez TecH2O Water Resources Learning Center on Saturday, May 10, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. The center is located at 10751 Montana Ave. The open house marks the grand opening of a state-of-the-art facility featuring interactive displays, exhibits and demonstration projects that teach visitors to understand and appreciate water management in the Chihuahuan Desert. Refreshments will be served. Activities will include presentations for adults, games for children and exhibits about water resources, conservation and Chihuahuan Desert plants and wildlife. Tours will be offered at the Kay Bailey Hutchison Desalination Plant, which is adjacent to TecH2O. El Paso Water Utilities will also announce the winners of its annual poster contest. Students from kindergarten through 12th grade will receive gifts cards worth $100, $50 and $25 for first-, second- and third- place prizes, respectively.
