What is an e-Bill?
An e-Bill is a detailed electronic version of the paper bill you currently receive by mail.

Is there a fee for receiving and paying my EPWU bill electronically?
No, the service is provided free of charge to EPWU customers.
How do I receive and pay EPWU e-bills?
Instead of receiving a paper bill through the mail, you review
and decide when to pay your EPWU bill online. Options include receiving
an e-mail message each month alerting you that a new e-bill is available
for payment online or you can pay your e-bill each month by using
the EPWU or CheckFree web site.
Your payment will be drawn from your bank account on the date you
specify. You can specify payment dates when you receive each bill
or you can schedule it to be paid automatically each month. You
can cancel the service at any time and begin receiving paper bills
again on your next billing cycle.
Will I continue to receive a paper bill from EPWU?
No, after you enroll and select to pay electronically, you will
no longer receive a paper bill in the mail from EPWU.
I like the convenience of the automatic bank draft payment plan. How is online billing different?
When you are set up on our automatic bank draft payment plan, you still receive
a paper bill that shows the amount that is automatically deducted
from your checking or savings account. With online billing, no paper
bills are mailed. You receive your bill online and control the payment
amount and the date when it is deducted from your bank account.
What do I need to do if I want to change from the automatic bank draft payment plan to electronic bill presentment and payment?

us at (915) 594-5500 for instructions on canceling
your bank draft authorization and enrolling
for online billing services.
How secure is my bill payment and personal information?
These online payments are completely safe and secure. EPWU’s
electronic bill service provider, CheckFree, uses the strongest
type of encryption level available and makes your personal information
unreadable as it passes over the Internet. If your do not have a
browser with 128-bit encryption, you will be prompted online to
upgrade your web browser (Netscape Navigator or Microsoft Internet
Explorer) to this encryption level. Refer to CheckFree's Guarantee
EPWU will never share your information with any third parties
outside of processing your online bill and payment with Checkfree.
What information do I need to sign up for online billing?
To make enrolling easier, have the following handy:
- A recent EPWU bill or your account number. You can contact
EPWU Customer Service for this information if you don’t
have it: Call (915) 594-5500 or e-mail us.
- Bank account number from which your payments will be deducted.
- Social Security Number
During the enrollment process you will enter your own unique logon
name and personal password. Memorize or write down your logon name
and password and keep it in a safe place, you will need them every
time you want to access your account and manage your bills.
