Sandbags Available at Stormwater Operations Center

Customers can no longer get sandbags at El Paso Water Utilities' regional sandbag distribution sites. The sites have been closed and will not reopen until next summer. However sandbags are still available at EPWU's Stormwater Operations Center.

While the regional sites operate only during the monsoon season, the Stormwater Operations Center, located at 4801 Fred Wilson, is open throughout the year. Customers can get sandbags Monday through Friday between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m.

The Stormwater Operations Center is in Northeast El Paso on the corner of Marshall Road and Fred Wilson and accessible via the following:

• US-54 North or South to Spur 601; exit at Chafee Road and u-turn to Marshall Road
• Railroad Drive to Marshall Road
• Airport Road to Fred Wilson and Marshall Road

Please remember that sandbags are for flood control purposes only and limited to 25 sandbags per visit. Persons who have difficulty lifting heavy items are encouraged to come with someone who can assist with loading and unloading the bags.
