Applications Being Accepted for PSB Vacancy

The Public Service Board is accepting applications for one vacancy. Applicants must have education and professional expertise in the field of law, health, science, education, political science, training in research or public information and community education.

The Board oversees the management, control and operation of the El Paso Water System, which comprises El Paso's water, wastewater, stormwater and reclaimed water utilities. Members are expected to attend approximately 12 regular meetings each year, in addition to special meetings and functions.

This is a volunteer unpaid position for an estimated 125 hours per year of service. Duties also include responding to phone calls and email messages and meeting with elected officials and El Paso Water staff. Travel is infrequent but may be required.

Applicants must be U.S. citizens and El Paso County residents with community involvement experience and at least four years of experience in their respective field. A college degree is preferred. Applicants may not hold a political office or an interest that conflicts with those of the Public Service Board, including real estate management or land development.
